Geoscience Data Management was formed in 1991 as a privately held service company of geoscience consultants.

GDM'S FOUNDER

Dr. Robert Font has more than 35 years of professional experience in the oil and gas industry and in academia. He is a former tenured professor at Baylor University, Project Supervisor and Area Geologist for Conoco Inc., and Executive Vice President for Strategic Petroleum.

Dr. Font received both a B.S. and an M.S. degree from Baylor University and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University. He has published widely and is a certified professional and petroleum geologist, as well as a registered geologist in three states. He is one of a handful of Americans who hold the title of "European Geologist" as awarded by the European Federation of Geologists. He currently serves as Past-President of AIPG (2005-2006). Dr. Font is also fluent in Spanish and proficient in French.

ABOUT OUR STAFF

Our 20+ team members are geologists, with expertise in a variety of geologic disciplines, geophysicists, petroleum engineers, or computer systems analysts, as well as data management or customer service specialists. With over 1,000 man years of combined professional experience, staffers have been employed by major oil and gas companies, smaller independents, environmental firms, and as consultants and project leaders. Our diverse staff of degreed, professional geoscientists come to us from widely separate regions around the globe. We have both national and international experience in petroleum exploration and production, engineering geology, and data management.

We have put together this group in order to better meet the needs of our international clients, including ExxonMobil Corporation, Kerr McGee Corporation, Oryx Energy Company, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Union Pacific Resources, Maxus Energy Company, Snyder Oil Corporation and Nearburg Producing Company.

We understand the importance of cost management and of timely project completion, but are also committed to the creation of a valuable, trustworthy work product for our clients.
